Kuchi tribal jewellery is made completely by hand, using centuries-old designs. There are no local sources of silver or gold in Afghanistan, so much of the jewellery is made from alloys, made by melting down old coins, bicycle spokes, television antennas and umbrella spokes.
This well-preserved, vintage, statement head piece is unique in that it is in original condition, just as the maker made it, many decades ago. Many of these vintage pieces have been taken apart, reassembled, repaired and rearranged, but our range is authentic and immaculate. The detailed piece with red, green and pink inlay work can be used as a head piece, embroidered onto a felt hat or bag, or as truly one off statement piece hung on your wall. Let your imagination run wild!
Total length of this piece is 36cm.
