Kuchi tribal jewellery is made completely by hand, using centuries-old designs. There are no local sources of silver or gold in Afghanistan, so much of the jewellery is made from alloys, made by melting down old coins, bicycle spokes, television antennas and umbrella spokes.
This well-preserved, vintage, statement necklace is unique in that it is in original condition, just as the maker made it, many decades ago. Many of these vintage pieces have been taken apart, reassembled, repaired and rearranged, but our range is authentic and immaculate. The detailed charms hang from the plaited navy blue, red and green cord and it has a red button acting as the clasp.
Truly a one off statement piece.
Total length of necklace from clasp to longest charm is 33cm.
